MONTREAL, PQ- An Air Canada jet originating in Montreal and bound for Havana, Cuba was briefly hijacked by a Cuban national brandishing a grenade, who demanded that the plane be taken to Havana, Cuba.

When informed that the plane was already heading to Havana, the hijacker paused briefly with a startled expression and then sat down. After a few moments he then demanded that he receive the entire can of Coke and not just a little plastic glass with too much ice in it.

He was shot dead by a child riding in coach.
